The children's author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the company said: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
