Those officials comprehending the urgency should seize the opportunity afforded by Brazil hosting Cop30 this month to create a partnership of dedicated nations determined to turn back the environmental doubters.

Worldwide Guidance Scenario

Many now see China – the most prolific producer of renewable energy, storage and electric vehicle technologies – as the worldwide clean energy leader. But its national emission goals, recently delivered to international bodies, are lacking ambition and it is uncertain whether China is willing to take up the role of environmental stewardship.
